It's kinda hard to tell but we were throwing rose petals.
You can't leave without a visit to the canyon! We kayaked on the river while Grandma watched Maddie on the banks.
Dana & I celebrated our birthday (thanks for the spoilage!) and we gave Dad a belated Father's Day gift, a book from the kids about how much we love him!
Mike was CRAZY on the new wood floors. He got out a towel to give Maddie rides, but after she was in bed he started goofing off on it, dancing and sliding all over the place. He is a real kid at heart! Pretty soon he was turning up the music and reminiscing about the days when he was young and he and his siblings would dance on their wood floors in the dark with flashlights as strobe lights! He was crazy, but it got us all laughing and a hilarious dance party ensued.
Another day we visited Niagra Springs for a picnic.
Maddie explored the old Ford truck with Grandpa.
The babe was much better on the way home than the way up... she has a much harder time sleeping in the car now that her seat is forward. Her books helped a little!
We missed Noelle, Zak, and Emrie... it has been awhile since we were all together! Why can't we just live closer?!?!? Being with family is my favorite place to be.

Mine too! I love being with family. I can't believe you guys had a dance party without me! I bet it was halarious. I thought about you guys all weekend and was dying to see pictures! Thanks for finally posting them! Where is Niagra Springs> I've never heard of it. What did mom get you for you're b-day?
Ha ha ha!! I love the dance party and the picture of Maddie reading in the car seat. What a fun vacation!
It is beautiful there. Kindof reminds me of Washington. It looks like you had a great time. Dance party and all.
Yay for old Ford trucks, the canyon, and cute little girls! I'm glad you guys had such a fun time in Twin. Are those your parents kayaks or do you rent them? I'm always jealous of your fun river shots.
I LOVE YA MIKEY!!!
COME BACK!!!! I still think we need to go back to the "olden days" when you just built a house on the back forty of your parents land, and went to work on the family farm. To be able to see you all daily would be such a blessing.
By the way... Noelle and Zak... the dance party was not the same without you silly guys... it was right up your alley.
I love you all!

PS I thought your hair looked different! I love it and the bangs!
That was hilarious! Love the videos. That's so great that you guys have such crazy fun together. And Maddie is as cute as ever! (I say that like I see her all the time...) ;)
Your Hubby's such a goof! I love the pics of you in the kayak Lauren! Who knew you were a kayaker?! Looks beautiful.
I agree, it just doesn't get any better than being with family. So I read your post late last night and went immediately to Jared and asked if we could move to Idaho. It looks absolutely GORGEOUS!!! How do you ever turn around and drive back to the desert??? Oh my goodness! Great pictures ... looks like Maddie had a fun time. That Lady Bug book is a good read ... I know it well! =)
Looks like you had a great vacation! I'm glad you got to see your family, what a great birthday present! I bet the drive is not fun, we have about a 20 min drive everyday and it's long enough for me. I'm not a car person! The ladybug book that Maddie is reading is a favorite at our house too.
Happy birthday Lauren! It looks like you guys had sooo much fun together for your birthday. Those are some fun videos. They made me laugh.
