Mike forgot his lunch at home today, so Maddie & I brought it to him and had a picnic. It was a rare pleasure to see Mike in the middle of a weekday! We decided to make it a date once a month. (For those of you who are incredulous that we're picnicing in November, it's still 85 degrees here and it's killing me!)

Maddie is scooching less and instead doing these funny push ups with her bum in the air. She hasn't figured out how to make progress though... she moves her feet but just ends up with her bum higher and her head on the ground! :)

Grinning at Dad! (that swing looks so nasty)

Man, I love my little family.

Lauren-
I TOTALLY can comisserate (spelling??) We have been have record breaking heat here. 94 degrees today. 94. I bought warm Clothes for Chloe a month ago thinking she would need some...I am beginning to lose faith that we will EVER get below 80, and then we will start up with the horrendously hot weather again in April! GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
I love your little family too. :) The idea of a picnic in the sun sounds great. I'm a lover of the changing seasons, but I can't seem to keep warm here! Grass is always greener... right?!
I loved your Halloween pics. Kids make holidays fun all over again.
it is funny how every kid learns to crawl different! Cracks me up how they just figure out funny ways to get around!
how fun! that is so cute!
Lauren the pictures or precious! I too love your little family very very much! I love watching MAddie progress with crawling...she'll get it eventually. I miss you...I would do anything to come to vegas for a week or two (and not for the weather although that would be a perk) :) I love you. xoxo
How fun! Brooklyn would love to have a picnic with her Dad at school, I should suggest that. I'm so glad that you guys have decided to make a tradition of it, I'm sure Mike enjoyed it just as much as you did.
So fun that you went to the park. Blake and I went out to lunch randomly the other day and it was quite a pleasure, so I know where you are coming from. I also love the stages of crawling and the fact that you got a picture of it. Too cute!
Wow, I can't believe it's that hot anywhere since it's cooled down so much here. But that picnic sure looks nice. I could go for enough warmth for a family outing like that! I don't envy your summer weather, though. :)
