If a dream is a wish your heart makes, Maddie's heart is really happy right now.

Her greatest wish was to meet Mickey Mouse, and guess who happened to be right at the front entrance taking pictures? It couldn't have been more perfect. The line was cut off right behind us so Mickey could make a performance at the castle, so we really got lucky! That is the face of one happy girl.

We went right down to the castle and caught all the characters singing and dancing.
Mike and I decided that we would focus on the kids experience instead of our own, so we hardly went on any rides. Instead we spent most of our time waiting in lines to meet the characters and watching the performances and parades.

Ella spent most of the day like this, climbing on fences and trying to touch all the flowers. Silly girl.

Grandpa, Maddie, and I went on the tea cups.

I thought she would get too dizzy but she actually loved it and didn't want to get off!

We spent a good while in Toon Town.

The horizon made me feel like I was in the Truman Show. Is this real?

When we met Minnie Mouse Maddie was just in awe. She hugged her legs and didn't want to let go.

The character's houses are so elaborate! The detail is amazing.

Grandpa gave Maddie some coins for the wishing well.

I just thought this was a cute picture of Minnie Maddie sitting in Mickey's window.

My parents were seriously amazing. They made the trip so much more fun and helped constantly. We couldn't have done it without them!

Maddie finally got her cotton candy. Sticky goodness.

Meeting Pooh--Ella gave him hugs too. You'll notice we put their pillowcase dresses on from Aunt Dana and they were a hit everywhere we went!

More hugs for Eyore. . .

and Tigger. Maddie enjoyed the Pooh Bear ride and even Pirates of the Caribbean, although the skeletons scared her at first. Ella hated it because she just wanted to get in the water.

That night we met some old friends/college buddies in Downtown Disney for dinner. It was so good to see them! They each have two kids similar ages to our own. It was a fun day, and though we barely scratched the surface on things to do, we checked everything off Maddie's list and that's all that matters, right?

How fun! I bet Maddie was just in awe all day! That is a great idea to make sure the kids had a great experience. I bet it was really tiring! I remember so much about Toon Town and Minnie and Mickey's houses. I think that was my favorite part! I love Maddie's outfits and that is so cute that Dana made Ella a dress too. So cute!
