This year for Holy Week we again followed Christ through the events of the last week of his life. We mostly watched the Bible videos, looked at the gospel art kit, and read scriptures. On Passover night we had our traditional Passover meal on the floor of flatbread, olives, grapes, etc. Celebrating Holy Week makes Easter so much more meaningful.
President Nelson also holds a special place in our hearts because he was the heart surgeon for my Grandpa Jack, who later died from a heart infection when my mom was only 4 years old. We have a special letter from Dr. Nelson to my Grandma expressing his sympathy and condolences. I am thankful that because of the sacrifice and resurrection of the Savior, I can meet my grandpa someday.
In between sessions we dyed our Easter eggs. it was Kate's first time and she loved it! She turned her hands pink and yellow too.
I just love the bright happy colors!
We started Easter morning by watching the Bible videos of the Resurrected Lord. It's so tender and sweet to think of him appearing to those he loved as the Risen Lord.
Weird sunshine lighting, but the girls got cross stitches, and the boys got wooden pirate crafts to paint. Kate got new playdough, her favorite!
We were invited to Easter dinner at Rebecca's house, and my part was deviled eggs, spinach gratin, and this delectable lemon blueberry cake. The meals was heavenly.
