Finally in Idaho!

You may recall that we tried to go home to my parents' house the day after Christmas and were thwarted by a nasty storm, as well as fevers and sickies. I was really homesick at the time and vowed I would get home as soon as possible. Well, it took us two more months but we finally made it!

Mike and the kids always take advantage of the wood floors and go for fun towel rides.

Maddie loved roughhousing with Grandpa. He carried her around like a sack of potatoes, spun her on the floor, and wheelbarrowed around the house.

My dad got a neat package from his sister and showed it to us. It contained a bunch of my Grandma Jensen's jewelery that was divided up after her passing. She never had her ears pierced so all of her earrings were clip on. Maddie and Ella loved that they could actually wear them! I remember when I was little Grandma kept them in egg cartons in her dresser drawer and we would have a fun time going through them and trying them on.

The weather was finally spring-like and we spent many hours outside playing ball and running around.

I even tried a little hula hooping... it stayed on top of my belly for a minute!

Grandma got her fill of kidlets running around. There were a few tantrums and spills that we used to remind her she's glad they just come to visit, but otherwise we had a fun time!

By the end of the trip Tyler went up to Grandma on his own for a hug! That's a big deal for this boy and means that he really loves you.

Oh man! What a treat to get to go home all by yourselves! Maddie and Ella fit right in taking over being the kids at the house. Playing basketball, running around outside, and playing with Grandma's jewlery. All things I loved doing as a kid! Tyler's smile is infecious in the last picture! I can't wait to have you all come visit me!
