Sunday is my favorite day of the week.
I love that there's no guilt when I don't do any chores. I love that the house is full of beautiful music. I love that Mike is home and we can spend time just being together. No agenda (after church of course), just peace and rest. It is so invigorating!

Yesterday I loved laying on the grass and looking up at the sky while our salmon dinner baked in the oven.

I loved that my kids found little treasures and brought them to show me and snuggle me.

I love my girls' beautiful blue eyes.

I love that the kids got good Daddy time.

Ella has been asking for her baby book at naptime, so Maddie wanted her's too. It was so sweet to see them snuggled up reading through memories.

Mike started a new map with Maddie. Instead of countries (which she knew most of) they are working on states, but not just memorization this time. Mike is telling her stories from his life and putting dots on places.

Elder Andrews served in Indiana...

And we went on our honeymoon to San Fran. Maddie loves the stories and remembers what each dot stands for.

We ended the day with a drive to scope out some homes... yep, we're looking to buy. Someday, anyway. This one caught our attention, especially because of the spectacular view of Mt. Timp and Utah Lake to the east.
You can also see the smoke in the air... there is a huge wildfire near us at Camp Williams. We could see it from our front porch blazing in the darkness. Thankfully it blew mostly north and not south to where my sister lives, but my heart goes out to all those families in Herriman that had to leave their homes! It definitely made us think about what we would do in a crisis situation. Scary.

Great Sunday post. Your girls look so cute snuggled up to their Dad. How fun that you are thinking of buying! So Utah is long term for you then?
ooo! exciting about getting a house! that one looks nice :) I agree, Sundays are the best!
Lauren, you always do such cute things with your girls!
What neighborhoods are you looking at? That house looks a lot like the ones in the neighborhood Bryce liked up your way.
Pretty house... Is it up by Dana? Sunday is a great day, I love that it feels different. Do you remember how we used to go for family walks or bike rides! I loved having us all together. The girls look so sweet and happy.
I love your girls' great big beautiful blue eyes too. We miss you! Ditto on the Sunday business ... especially the guilt-free lounging around and ignoring of the chores part. Love it.
