Does anyone know a doctor they just love? It's always hard to start from scratch! I need to find a pediatrician, obgyn, family doctor, and dentists in Utah county! I would love any suggestions.
Here's my two cents (I'm sure you'll get many more). The pediatrician we go to down here is part of Utah Valley Pediatrics. They also have an office in American Fork. All my sisters-in-law go there and they see Dr. Glade. He's who Doug saw as a child as well. I'm not sure if he's taking new patients but pretty much everyone I know goes to that practice and they all love it. I'm pretty sure that when we move (by the grace of some miracle that we sell our house) we'll keep coming to Dr. Peterson down here because he is fabulous! I also love that we never have to wait to get in. As far as OB's go, I can't say enough good things about Dr. Watabe. He's part of Legacy OB in American Fork as well. Once again, all my in-laws and friends go to that practice. They all see Dr. Jones and he's great too. My family MD is Dr. Taylor in Provo. I think he's about to retire so I can't recommend him. Central Utah Clinic has pretty good MDs as well. Good luck!
I love Utah Valley Peds, and I agree with the above comment, the AF office has great doctors too. I would recommend almost any of them and I have worked with all of them. For OBGYN's, I saw Dr. Judd of Aspen Women's Center (it's in Provo across from the Malt Shoppe). But I also know the Legacy OB group in AF, and they are good as well. Those are all good suggestions, hope it helps. Dentist...I'm no help there. I've had a hard time finding one too, but we're moving now, so we'll have to do all this over again. It's hard! Good luck.
We take our boys to the local Utah Valley Pediatrics office as well. You may have to ask around to find out which doctor at the closest office has the shortest waits. We had one doctor recommended, but I was routinely waiting over an hour to have the boys seen. Then someone told us about being seen by the Physician's Assistant instead and now we never wait more than 5 minutes and he's great. The thing I like about the Utah Valley Pediatrics "chain" is you can always call after hours and on Saturday and either speak to a nurse or make an appt to see a doctor and it doesn't cost any more than your usual co-pay. They have a procedure room so they are able to do things like stitches too...(maybe all pediatricians do I don't know)...which saved us lots of money when Sawyer cut his head open.
Our dentist is actually in Lehi. Dr. Gordon at Gordon Family Dental. He is really good with kids too. Will had to get 3 cavities filled and 3 Novocaine shots and he never even knew he got shots. He just loves being able to bring his own movie to watch "on the ceiling."
OBGYN...mine passed away so I'm on the hunt as well! I went to Aspen Women's (like the other comment) and Dr. Judd assisted on both my c-sections so I may just stay there. (As you may recall, they only accept new patients if you are pregnant though which is more than kind of frustrating...but once you get in you can go there for whatever. That policy may have changed since last I knew though.)
And as for a family doctor..well we really need to get one because otherwise who do you go see when Mom or Dad gets sick? So far we've never seen anyone in Utah though.
I just found a great doctor for me! Kelly Woznick....she is actually a PA, but she is awesome! She is in Stephen Barry's office here in Orem. I agree...go with Utah Valley Peds. We see Daniel Simmons and love him. Dentist...I just asked that question on facebook....check out my profile to find a huge list of recommendations.
Utah Valley peds- love Richard Later, et al If you can afford him- Evan Perry as a dentist- looking for a new one ourselves tho. . . Steven Nance will forever be my one and only OB/GYN- he's in Springville. He delivered all of my kiddos- I think he is great
wait... Are you back in UT county for good? My docs if you want them...
My Legacy OB in AF is GREAT! I take the drive to AF (from So Orem) for DR. Ryan Jones, but all other docs are great as well. The practice is just north of the AF hospital and the number is 801-855-2980.
The pediatrician (who is amazing) is Dr Michael Whiting in AF. His number is 801-492-4333. The office is just south about a block from AF hospital. :)
