He had to take a turn too... and he often helps on the flushing.
He even got a pair of underwear! I have to say, even though I wasn't ready for this, it has been less painful than I imagined. I need to give Maddie more credit sometimes... she is one smart cookie. Let's hope the success continues!

I certainly hope for your sake that she remains accident-free...but be prepared for set backs and then for occasional accidents for a looong time. It was months before I left the house without an extra change of clothes for Will and without stressing about when the last time he used the potty was! (But I hear girls are better than boys in the potty-training dept.)
Not Fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had 3 unsuccessful attempts with kyler. Now for a few months he will go #1 in the potty consistently thank goodness, but he is still YET to go #2. I am trying to be patient as kyler is extremely stubborn.. :)
Congrats Maddie! Hopefully the transition remains fairly painless, you deserve it with another little one in the house. The only advice that I have (I'm always full of it, in every sense of the term) is to expect accidents so that you're not surprised or upset when they happen. Something our book said to say was "accidents happen" to the kid. Good luck.

Whoa smartie pants! How awesome is it that she's initiating it on her own! I've only ever heard TALL tails of such a thing. "They" say that girls are supposed to be easier. Fingers crossed, Eve.

I just got Brooklyn the same Elmo underwear. Funny! She is getting really good at telling us when she has to go, usually it's as she's going though so it's to late to make it to the potty. She has gone on the potty a few times, even a successful #2 twice now, I'm waiting for the not so successful attempt though, I know, unfornately, that it just doesn't happen without that.
